Swayne and Partners was established in the 1970's and has since grown from a single surgery in Bury St Edmunds to a practice operating four independent surgeries covering a wide area of West Suffolk.
Our team provide a friendly, traditional service but we pride ourselves on keeping up to date with innovations in technology and advances in techniques and knowledge.
Each of our surgeries is open six days a week, until 7pm Monday to Friday and 9-12am Saturday. Appointments can be made by telephoning your nearest surgery. We also provide our own 24 hour emergency service.
Additionally, our branch in Bury St. Edmunds is open until 10pm Monday to Friday. We run a routine clinic there between 7pm and 8.30pm and will see emergencies in Bury St Edmunds up until 10pm with no out of hours fee. Clients of our other branches are welcome to use this service.
All four surgeries, situated in Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Long Melford and Newmarket care for and treat domestic animals from hamsters to Newfoundlands and each practice is equipped to a high standard. This enables us to carry out a wide range of advanced diagnostic procedures as well as offer the most modern treatments available.
From our Bury St Edmunds surgery our team of vets also offer a comprehensive farm and equine service. Catering for all species we are able to carry out a wide range of procedures from equine lameness examinations to herd health plans and of course treating illnesses and injuries is all part of the service provided - just call the Bury St Edmunds surgery with your enquiry or to book your visit.
Our Mobile Consultation Unit visits rural areas, holding regular clinics and providing a community service helping those who may otherwise have difficulty bringing their animals to the surgery. The vehicle is fully equipped as a consultation room but has the added bonus of kennelling facilities so that, should it be necessary your pet can be safely transported back to the surgery. This service is available by appointment only, to registered clients, to find out more please telephone the Bury St Edmunds surgery.
